Activities are available to keep the whole family busy including a whole host at Swakopmund such as sandboarding, quadbiking, skydiving, dolphin cruising (and kissing a seal at breakfast time), scenic flights etc.  Horse riding is available at many lodges en route as well as various conservation programmes where you are able to learn about how many of the animals and endangered birds such as vultures survive in todays world.  In many of these places you are able to see them at close quarters

You can also enjoy cultural interaction with various tribes such as the bushman and himba in the different areas of the country.   Often the kids naturally play with each other so not only is it educational but fun too.
